Asymmetric Media Wall – Worcester, Badsey WR11
Bespoke media wall
Many new builds are limited in features and this one was no exception, with a large flat wall dominating the living space. This media wall was designed to become the primary feature; one that would house the large TV and hide all the cabling, but provide much needed storage and space to display valued treasures.
The design is intentionally uncluttered, to echo the homeowners other spaces, with a warm, scandi-style feel. The asymmetry provides the interest, and gave us the opportunity to create both hidden and open niches of varying sizes to suit a variety of artistic pieces and glassware.
Our client chose a combination of warm oak veneer and a spray finish in Little Greene’s Portland Stone to harmonise with the wider living room scheme, and opted for subtle spot lighting scattered throughout to showcase her favourite pieces.
Critically, both the TV mounting and the positioning of the Wifi router, have been carefully planned to ensure all the unsightly cabling is hidden from view, and can be easily accessed when needed.
