FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is bespoke cabinetry?
Bespoke cabinetry is individually designed and made for your home – built to your exact dimensions, style and storage needs. Every piece is created to suit how you live and how your space works, rather than fitting to standard sizes.
Because every project is designed in-house by an interior designer, the cabinetry isn’t just fitted to your space – it’s considered as part of the whole room, with proportion, flow and detailing that sit naturally within it. The result is something completely unique to you.
Why choose bespoke cabinetry?
Standard and high-street ‘made-to-measure’ furniture usually starts with pre-set sizes or components that are adjusted to fit your space. True bespoke cabinetry begins with a blank page – every proportion, detail and joint is designed specifically for you.
That means we can use every millimetre efficiently, adapt to sloped ceilings or awkward corners, and select materials and finishes with no limits or compromises. The result is cabinetry that fits perfectly, performs beautifully and lasts. It also allows the cabinetry to be fully integrated with the rest of your interior – aligning finishes, proportions and sightlines so everything feels intentional and connected.
How much does bespoke furniture cost?
No two projects are the same, and cost depends on size, materials and complexity. It’s always best to have a guide budget in mind, so we can focus design ideas and material choices accordingly.
As a rough guide, most projects start from around £2,250 per linear metre. High-street ‘bespoke’ or ‘custom’ furniture is usually based on standard units with limited material and size options – which keeps prices lower. Our cabinetry is higher quality and genuinely one-off; designed and built from scratch to your exact brief, which naturally takes more time, skill and care.
If cost is the main driver, an off‑the‑shelf approach might suit you better. If you want something built around how you live, designed without compromise and made to last, bespoke is the right choice.
What materials do you use?
We work with a wide range of materials, chosen to suit each design and budget. That includes hardwoods, plywoods, high-density MDF, real-wood veneers, laminates, textured surfaces and solid surfaces.
All materials are responsibly sourced, and our workshop processes are designed to minimise environmental impact wherever possible.
Can you make in any colour?
Yes – for our painted surfaces we can colour-match to any solid shade or paint brand you like. All cabinetry is finished in our own spray booth for a flawless, consistent result.
Do I have to take my own measurements?
A rough set of measurements and a few photos are really helpful at the start – they help us understand your space and get initial ideas moving. Once we move ahead, we’ll carry out a full site survey to take accurate measurements, check levels and assess construction details. That way, you can be confident everything will fit perfectly when installed.
What areas do you work in? Will you travel?
We mainly work across Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Solihull, Gloucestershire and the Cotswolds. We do travel further afield, so if you’re outside these areas, we’re happy to discuss what’s possible.
What type of projects do you work on?
Every project is different. We design and make cabinetry for kitchens, bedrooms, living spaces, media walls, home offices, utilities, garden rooms and selected commercial interiors. If it can be built from cabinetry, we can make it.
How do I commission bespoke cabinetry?
It all starts with a conversation. We’ll ask lots of questions — not to interrogate you, but to understand how you live, what you need and how you want your space to feel.
To help us get started, it’s useful if you can share:
- Rough measurements or existing plans (if you have them)
- Photos of the space
- Inspiration images or a Pinterest board
- Notes on what you’d like to store or display
- Details of how you’d like it to function
- Any practical considerations (power points, radiators, sloped ceilings)
- Thoughts on colours or finishes
- An indicative budget
You don’t need everything finalised, just enough to start the design conversation.
What is your process?
Initial Consultation
We start by understanding you, your home and how you live. Every detail matters – from how you use the space day to day to the look and feel you want to achieve.
Concept Design & Quote
We’ll explore layout, proportions, finishes and function together. Nothing is off the shelf; every decision is collaborative. Because our design process is led by an interior designer, we’ll also consider how your cabinetry interacts with lighting, flooring and colour so it complements the wider space. We’ll present initial concepts with sketches, moodboards and indicative budgets, then refine them into detailed, millimetre-precise plans and a fixed quotation.
Workshop Production
Once approved, your design is crafted in our Worcestershire workshop using a blend of traditional joinery and modern techniques. Everything happens under one roof, so we can maintain quality and consistency throughout. We can also liaise with other trades, such as electricians and plumbers, to make sure everything is ready for installation.
Installation & Completion
We don’t use contractors – your cabinetry is fitted by us, with care and precision. We coordinate with other trades and check every detail before sign-off – because for us, it’s not finished until it’s flawless.
Do you have a specific style?
Not really – our work is shaped by you. Every design is created for the client and the space, not to a set template. While some details may reappear where they suit the brief, each project responds to its setting and how you live.
We’ll guide on proportion, materials and finishes to help you reach a design that feels right. Our interior design background means we approach cabinetry as part of the overall room scheme, making sure it’s balanced, proportionate and cohesive.
Do you offer design advice as part of your service?
Yes. Every project we take on is both design-led and maker-led – it’s one of the things that makes us different. Because we are experienced Interior Designers, we consider how cabinetry sits within the wider room, not just how it fits the space. This means your cabinetry will always feel integrated and in harmony with the rest of your home.
Can you work alongside my designer or builder?
Yes. We regularly collaborate with interior designers, architects and builders. We can produce detailed drawings, coordinate site preparation and work to shared specifications to make sure everything integrates smoothly. Our goal is always to make the joinery side as seamless as possible for everyone involved.
